Dr. Lawrence Iteld is an aesthetic and reconstructive board-certified plastic surgeon with more than 20 years of experience in the medical field. As founder and medical director at Iteld Plastic Surgery, Dr. Iteld serves the treatment needs of men and women from throughout the Midwest and globally. In addition to his work at Iteld Plastic Surgery, he is Chief of Plastic Surgery at Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center, and holds an appointment as Clinical Associate at The University of Chicago Hospitals.
Dr. Iteld is a magna cum laude graduate of Rutgers College in New Jersey. He earned his medical degree from the University of Michigan Medical School with distinction in research before going on to complete his plastic surgery residency at the University of Chicago. He also completed a microsurgery and oncologic fellowship at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center's Department of Plastic Surgery in Houston, TX. Before he returned to Chicago, he served as an assistant professor of plastic surgery at the University of Miami.
Dr. Iteld is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and is an active member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, and the Illinois Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery. He has earned a number of accolades over the years, having been recognized as one of Chicago magazine's Top Doctors of 2018 (selected by his peers), as well as a Castle Connolly Top Doctor.
