How Does CO2 Skin Resurfacing Work?
Your CO2 skin resurfacing treatment at our Chicago, IL practice will start with the application of a numbing cream to the treatment area to reduce any discomfort you may feel. If you're still concerned about any potential pain, we also offer Pro-Nox™ to help keep you relaxed and comfortable. Once you're ready, we'll slowly pass the Alma Hybrid applicator over your skin, heating up the lower layers to stimulate collagen production for lasting rejuvenation. Depending on the details of your treatment, we may use multiple wavelengths of light to address various skin imperfections on the surface. Afterward, you can expect your skin to be pink and sensitive, similar to a light sunburn. This will pass, but you can stay comfortable using over-the-counter painkillers and cold compresses. I have made an appointment for a consultation with Dr. Iteld. First, as most should know, liposuction is NOT for weight loss, but "body conturing", though after a procedure, "minimal" weight loss may occur. Secondly, it is important that good research should be done BEFORE considering this procedure. DO NOT SETTLE for just anyone. Dr. Iteld is a highly accredited plastic surgeon. Even before making my appointment, I was extremely impressed by the patient, kind, informative and professional attention from one of his staff members. Rarely does one find such people these days. So, whether I am a candidate for this procedure or not, and especially as a retired medical professional, myself, I can honestly say, I KNOW I chose the right professional and staff, who are in a beautiful setting with plenty of parking.
