What should I expect during a session?
Arrive with clean, makeup-free skin. After the numbing cream is applied, we’ll provide you with protective eyewear. Our aesthetic nurse moves the Alma Veil laser over the target areas; you may feel a mild warming or snapping sensation. Total in-office time depends on area size but is often 30–60 minutes.
How many sessions will I need?
The number of treatments varies depending on the depth, area, and cause of pigmentation (such as sun damage vs. melasma). Many patients undergo a series of 3–6 sessions, spaced several weeks apart, for best outcomes.
Are there any contraindications?
Some conditions may require extra precautions or alternative treatments, such as active skin infections, recent isotretinoin use, uncontrolled diabetes, or very recent tanning. How should I prepare before treatment?

What does the recovery period look like?

When can I resume my normal skincare or wear makeup?
You can typically resume gentle skincare and mineral makeup within 24–48 hours. Stronger actives (like retinoids or exfoliants) should wait until your skin is fully settled — we’ll guide you on timing.
Will new pigmentation appear in the future?
It’s possible. Sun exposure, hormonal changes, or inflammation can trigger new pigment. To maintain results, lifelong sun protection and periodic maintenance treatments may be recommended.
