How Does Blepharoplasty Work?
Blepharoplasty may be done on the upper eyelid alone, on the bottom portion, or a combination of both upper and lower.
- Upper
Upper blepharoplasty assists in removing sagging skin to create a more awakened and appealing look while also removing any obstacles to your vision. An incision is usually made along the lid crease to remove loose skin and fatty tissue. - Lower
Lower eyelid surgery is performed to reduce puffy and bulging skin beneath the lower lid. In most cases, an incision is placed along the lash line to allow access to remove fatty tissue, and the skin is subtly lifted to create a flatter, smoother look.
