What areas can Avéli treat?
Avéli is primarily designed to treat cellulite on the buttocks, where cellulite dimpling is most common. We may be able to treat certain areas of the posterior thighs, depending on anatomy and the pattern of cellulite.
Is the procedure painful?
Because the procedure is performed with local anesthesia, most patients experience minimal discomfort during treatment. Afterward, mild soreness, tenderness, or bruising can occur as the treated area heals.
How long does the treatment take?
Most Avéli procedures take about 45–60 minutes, depending on how many dimples are treated. The treatment is performed in our Chicago, IL office using local anesthesia.
How long do Avéli results last?
Avéli addresses the structural cause of cellulite dimples by releasing the fibrous bands responsible for them. Because those bands are physically cut, the results are considered longlasting for the treated dimples. However, new cellulite may develop over time as the body changes with aging, hormones, or weight fluctuations.
Is Avéli a weight-loss treatment?
No. Avéli is not a fat-reduction or weight-loss procedure. It specifically treats cellulite dimpling, which is caused by connective tissue bands beneath the skin. Patients looking to reduce fat or contour the body may benefit from other treatments such as liposuction or body-contouring procedures. We can develop a personalized plan to help determine whether combination therapy treatments will enhance results.
