Meet Angela Anderson, FNP-C, Our Nurse Practitioner

I’m pleased to introduce the newest member of our clinical team, Angela Anderson, FNP-C, our board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner.

As our practice continues to grow, so does our commitment to providing attentive, highly personalized care before, during, and after treatment. Angela brings five years of operating room experience, including working alongside world-renowned plastic surgeons, where she gained invaluable insight into advanced surgical techniques, precision, and the artistry of aesthetic surgery.

Most importantly, she shares our approach to patient care: listening carefully, educating thoroughly, and helping patients feel comfortable and confident in their decisions.

Exactly What Is a Nurse Practitioner?

You’ve probably seen the letters NP after a healthcare provider’s name, but you may not know exactly what they mean.

A Nurse Practitioner is an advanced practice registered nurse who has completed graduate-level education and advanced clinical training beyond the requirements of a registered nurse. Nurse Practitioners are qualified to evaluate patients, perform physical examinations, order and interpret diagnostic tests, diagnose and manage medical conditions, prescribe medications, and provide ongoing medical care within their scope of practice.

This combination of advanced clinical training and a nursing background brings a valuable perspective to patient care.

At Iteld Plastic Surgery, Angela will work closely with me and our clinical team to conduct preoperative evaluations, triage patient concerns, provide postoperative care, change dressings, remove sutures, manage medications, and assist with follow-up visits and in-office procedures.

She is also expanding her expertise in aesthetics, with additional training in neuromodulator injections, dermal fillers, and InMode technologies, including Morpheus8.

About Angela

Angela earned her Master of Science in Nursing from Maryville University in St. Louis and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Millikin University in Decatur, Illinois. She is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C).

She began her nursing career in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, where she developed a strong foundation in clinical assessment, attention to detail, and compassionate care. Those skills have served her well in the surgical and aesthetic setting, where anticipating patients’ needs, providing reassurance, and maintaining high standards of safety are essential.

Angela especially enjoys guiding patients through their surgical journey, from initial preparation through recovery. Her experience in the operating room has given her an appreciation for both the technical and personal aspects of plastic surgery.

As she expands her practice to include injectables and other aesthetic treatments, her philosophy remains focused on enhancing natural beauty. She believes in creating balanced, natural-looking results that help patients feel confident while preserving what makes them unique.

Because Angela and work closely together, she’ll also help provide continuity throughout your care. You’ll have another experienced medical provider who understands your treatment plan, can answer questions, and help guide you through recovery.

Getting to Know Angela

There’s more to the people who care for you than their credentials, and we’d like you to get to know Angela outside the office, too. A Chicago-area native, Angela married her college sweetheart, whom she met playing soccer. They recently welcomed Millie, a Bernedoodle puppy who keeps them busy. Angela enjoys staying active and is currently training for HYROX fitness competitions. She also loves playing soccer, traveling with her family, and baking.
