How Does JUVÉDERM Work?

What can you expect after JUVÉDERM?
JUVÉDERM is a collection of six unique and long-lasting fillers. Each one adds volume and is designed for different needs in specific areas of the face including the lips, cheeks, chin, smile lines, under eyes, jawline, and temples. We have what you need to get the smooth, natural-looking, long-lasting results you want.
Any JUVÉDERM injection can result in an initial reaction, with side effects ranging from redness, swelling, pain, tenderness, firmness, lumps/bumps, bruising, discoloration, and itching. These are totally natural and should last no longer than a few days.
Avoid applying makeup for 12 hours after treatment and minimize strenuous exercise, exposure to extensive sun or heat, and alcoholic beverages within the first 24 hours following treatment, as these may cause temporary redness, swelling, and/or itching at the injection site.
Since Voluma adds physical volume where injected, the cosmetic effects will be noticeable right away. Depending on the injectable, the effects can last anywhere from a few months to a couple of years. If you notice the volume starting to diminish once again, you can schedule another session at Iteld Plastic Surgery.
Are there any reasons why not to receive JUVÉDERM injections?
Do not use these products if you have a history of multiple severe allergies or severe allergic reactions (anaphylaxis), if you are allergic to lidocaine or the gram-positive bacterial proteins used in these products, or if you have had previous allergic reactions to hyaluronic acid fillers.
Who is a good candidate for candidate for JUVÉDERM in Chicago?
A good candidate for JUVÉDERM, or any dermal fillers, is an adult who has started to notice signs of aging due to changes in the skin. Patients should be healthy and understand what injectables will and won’t do for their appearance.
